Bologna La Dotta

Bologna is known as: Bologna The Red, Bologna The Fat, Bologna The Learned, Bologna The Towered.
The Oldest University in Europe is here - thus it's Learned! Besides, as in this photo, many tourists visit it. Bologna is more of a university centre than a toursitc place such as Venice or Florence, but many Italian historical people lived here, unique historical facts happened there, and people who visit it see many historical places, memorials and buildings (this, for instance, is the ancient "Palazzo della Mercanzia", the chamber of commerce). So, people who are really interested in Italian history and culture can learn many things they would not find anywhere else in Italy or in the world.
